Beer and Pretzel Gaming the Tale so far!

Hey everyone and welcome to our first official blog post! And what a better way to start then with how we got here!

A little over 4 years ago I (The author) had the rather ambitious idea that the £500 in my bank account might be enough to start a little market stall as outside of Warhammer it had been a few years since anything nerdy really existed in Kendal. And fortunately thanks to all you lovely people in the community! It turned out I was right!

Year one was a little hectic, a singular booster box made for a daunting order but we grew!  Quickly one table became two and the stock began to slope off into the sky hiding me behind my little desk. Eventually this got a bit too much to constantly tear down and reset for one person so I pushed the market as hard as I could until they let me take a up a unit! It needed a little bit of a cleaning but hey we were in! 

After this a year went by almost in a blink of an eye, the stall layout changed multiple times Pokemon started to go mad and the market hall started to talk about closing down for the summer for renovations. (Those renovations are still going on now!) 

So! With the threat of the the market closing I took the risk to take the stall to a full shop which is where I think allot of you now know me from! 

And this was the risk! A full store! And sods law had it that the scaffolding went up the week I started moving in! So It was almost impossible for people to know where we were but again we cracked on! 

(Paint came a little later and those tiles constantly need a touch up!) 

And that is where you find us to day! The south lakes only nerd shop! and well! Here's hoping we only get bigger from here! 

And to anyone and everyone whose ever visited my store, stall or just popped in for a natter! Thank you all very much! its only thanks to this community we've been able to do what we've done so far! And with your continued support we'll bring even nerdier things to Kendal!
